BVW - Round 4 Interim

Engine: Unity Platform: Oculus, Leap Motion Duration: 1 week Language: C#

The assignment for Round 4 was to tell an interactive story. My team decided to create a scenario where the player is a wizard detective, and is tasked to go into the home of a wizard who disappeared under mysterious circumstances and figure out what happened. As the programmer on this project, I implemented all of the gameplay including hand tracking using Leap Motion and voice control using the Oculus microphone and Unity's built in keyword recognizer. I also helped the artists by creating many of the 3D models for the environment. The main challenge in this project is having a clear story, and after interim demos we have pinpointed certain areas of the story that need to be clarified. We are also planning to make the memory attached to each interactible object have a clue for the passwords, so that each snippet of the wizard's story is relevant to progressing in the game.
